Introduction:

Reservation Cell of the Pravara Medical Trust,s Arts, Commerce & Science College Shevgaon was established to empower the OBC/SC/ST communities. “Every student has a right to education,” and by following this fact, our college is very keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the OBC/SC/ST community along with other caste, creed and Nationality. The Reservation Cell helps the students of Shevgaon region and develops them academically.

Objectives of OBC/SC/ST Cell:

1 To provide equal opportunity for the education of OBC/SC/ST students.
2 To create awareness among OBC/SC/ST students regarding various State Government and UGC scholarships.
3 To facilitate financial support to students from OBC/SC/ST communities from governmental agencies and other sources.
4 To take follow-up measures for achieving the objectives and targets lay down.
5 To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
6 To encourage participation for career orientation programs this would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career options.
7 To provide prompt counselling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
8 To ensure protection and OBC/SC/ST as provided in the constitution of India.


Nature of Activities of the Cell

1 Collection of reports and information of State Government and UGC orders on various aspects of education, and employment of OBC/SC/ST students.
2 Circulate the State and central Government decisions about different scholarship programs.
3 Communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
4 The Cell is committed to assisting OBC/SC/ST students through counselling, personality development, and development of communication skills, preparatory classes for professional and employment purposes.
