Keeping in mind the college motto: “ग्राम्यजनहितं परमं ध्येयम्!”(The Welfare of the rural people is the ultimate goal),Pravara Medical Trust’sArts, Commerce and Science College Shevgaonwas established in the academic year 2013-14. Pravara Medical Trust, Loni(established in 1972) is the parent institution of the college. Although college is started with only with the Degree in Science, in the academic year 2017-18 it was added to the Degree in Arts and Commerce and from the academic year 2021-22 to the Degree in Computer Science and Management and also Post-Graduate Degree in Chemistry. In the academic year 2013-14, the college started with only 120 students, today 1268 students are acquiring knowledge and education.

The way the college is growing at the quantitative level, the college is also growing and developing at the qualitative level and is scaling new heights. Since its establishment, the college has been making its mark in the educational, cultural, and socialfields and also in the sports. So far the college has securedrank twice in “Swarrang”, a Zonal Level Youth Festival for One-Act Play and for face painting and poster making organized by SavitribaiPhule Pune University, Pune. College has also won prize in State Level Theater Festival for One-Act Play. Volunteers of the National Service Scheme of the college have participated for various camps across the state. Also the college student Mr. Narendra Katkade has represented the National Kho-Kho team three times in a row. And he is selected to representing Chennai team in Ultimate Kho-Kho League for 2023-24. He also won Gold Medal in ‘Khelo-India Youth Games 2022-23’ for the Maharashtra State Kho-Kho Team.

The college offers Undergraduate Degree education in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Science and Post Graduate Degree Education in Chemistry. College also runs 5 Skill Oriented Certificate Courses to give professional competencies tothe students of the college. College also focuses on the women empowerment, Gender sensitivities, ethical values through various programs organizes in the college. College has extended it collaboration with 6 functional MoUs, i.e. 1)Insta Vision Lab, Satara, 2) KrushiVidnyan Kendra, Dahigaon-Ne, 3) Inner-Wheel Club, Shevgaon, 4) Saptrang Theaters, Ahmednagar, 5) Jan ShikshanSansthan, Ahmednagar, 6) Mahatma SarvjanikWachanalay, Shevgaon. College faculty participates in various state level, national international level seminars, workshops, Conferences and FDPs. Also College organizes various workshops and seminars from time to time for the students’ development.
